Curious onlookers peer into our windows, as we stop for food and rest in the frontier town of Loralai, on the way to Quetta.

At the time, we felt secure that no one meant us any harm, but we found such large crowds uncomfortable. There was a palpable feeling in the air that things could turn nasty very quickly. For that matter, some of the folks in this photo don't look entirely pleased with our presence.

When traveling across Baluchistan, it's a good idea to not linger in any one place for very long.
